I’m Devon. I’m an AI conversation & narrative designer living in NYC, and I used to head up partnerships and the ambassador program at Secret Boston, an events/social community of over 150,000 Bostonians. I’m also an extremely social person—but I suck at it. I hardly plan more than a day or two ahead. I forget birthdays. I forget dates & parties & events (important ones). When I have a party, I forget to invite half of my closest friends or I tell them at the last minute. I forget to RSVP to stuff. I forget to write people back. When friends come to town, I blank on fun stuff to do. I desperately need help. That’s why I decided to create Gremlin, the ai-powered personal assistant for your social life.

It started as a way to remember birthdays and special events without having to check facebook or a bunch of random calendars—then it became a little chatbot concierge for parties I host, where my friends can text it to RSVP and to figure out the date, time, theme, what to bring, dietary restrictions, etc. Now, it’s turning into something much more exciting and comprehensive—and I can’t wait to launch it publicly.
